Welcome to Muddy Puddles!

We are a much loved not-for-profit pre-school that has been operating for almost 20 years in various locations.

At Muddy Puddles we believe positive early childhood experiences are invaluable to shape
children’s approach towards learning.

We encourage the children to be curious, imaginative, independent and, most of all, to love learning!

The children access a rich play environment with a free-flow garden and use our amazing location to explore outdoors.

Outdoor Learning

Muddy Puddles is situated on a spacious Cricket Field surrounded by the woodland area, Stokes
Field Natural Reserve, where outdoor learning is an important part of the curriculum at Muddy Puddles.

The children have ample opportunities to spend time in the natural environment whether playing in the garden area, which is open in all weathers, or exploring the local area during our walks.

Nature Club

Thanks to our location, we have embraced what nature offers as a learning environment. We have a forest school ethos and have weekly ‘Nature Club’ sessions where the children are encouraged to build dens, use tools, make camp fires, toast marshmallows and role play in nature’s classroom.
